If Refractive Software has built up a library of materials, it would be much better if you could release what you have now rather than wait for the next version of Octane.
There is a dearth of good materials in Octane and I haven't found many tutorials that help me learn to create my own.
I think this would really help the installed user base and boost the product.
Just my 2c worth . . .

Have you had a look at the LiveDB? I think, that's what Radiance meant in June 2010.

Cheers,

Hello,

i can use the liveDB materials sometimes, but i have several problems using them:
1. i cannot download some of them because every time i try to use that material i get disconnected from the network
2. None-procedural materials don't seem to work properly for me (i use Blender to model my objects). The images included don't seem to work, or won't be placed/scaled properly, at least i don't see any kind of effect on my models. Procedural Materials seem to work just fine.

Regards

Bernd
