GTX 1080 + RTX 2080 Tweet

Hello everyone!

So anyone knows if i can combine my gtx1080 with an rtx2080 card?
Does it have compatibility issues etc.?

I only saw benchmarks with identical Cards so i would like to hear if anyone has some experience with this!

It looks like a number people are using this configuration with no issues, I have it myself and have not come across any issues, just make sure to get the latest version or at least 3.08 on Windows and Linux and the latest v4 RC on OSX so Turing architecture support is enabled.

i am building a pc mainly for gaming and i am considering the RTX 2080 instead of a GTX 1080. What are the cons of choosing a RTX/ what are the benefits? Is it a mistake to choose the RTX?
