Stereo Cubemaps with Oculus on PC (status)

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to know if anyone found a good solution to view stereo cubemaps (from Metaverse contest) on the PC using Oculus Rift.

At the moment I just can see equirectangular images, using LiveViewRift (the best tool I found, after testing several ones: Kolor, ecc). I'd obviously test my submission cubemap with an Oculus and my PC since I don't have a GearVR here :)

hi Davide,
as far as I know, the only solution for watching cube maps on DK2 is this:
viewtopic.php?f=98&t=46185
At least, it is the only one that comes to my mind ;)
ciao beppe

I tried it and it was not working, DesktopVR taks a huge amount of time to convert the cubemap to it proprietary environment format...
LiveViewRift does not take cubemaps but works well with equirectangular stereo images.

No other solution? :(

We have a PC, SteamVR/Vive and Sony Morpheus port of the ORBX media player under development right now. The 2.0 update for GearVR is about a week away (hopefully), then we'll do a project Tango version.

Also preparing to open source ORBX lib on github, document the lua and JSON APIs.
