Hi, here is a new shot of my simple project "To take flight" ( viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4701&start=240 and viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4701&start=250 ), the third one, and I think it could be the last too, I don't want to bore you anymore with this subject, honestly. No Vue's background, but just an clear and sunny Octane's daylight illumination, a bit better sea and some little improvement on the boat's textures..
I don't know, maybe I'm going to start a new project on these days, I'll be still in time I think! :D
Bye

My sincere apologies Mlody, I shouldn't have assumed things and put words/ thoughts into your mouth. I got a bit frustrated at everyone's complaints and vented a bit. I'm sorry about that.

Nice view Marco !

I like large outside scenes, and I like airplanes. One of my preferred (I will model it for my project in a close future I think) is the De Havilland Beaver DHC-2 !

Thanks a lot ROUBAL, I'm proud of your comment, really, 'couse you are a master for me and I admired your stunning work for lots of minutes. Very nice plane the De Havilland Beaver DHC-2 and surely more modern than "my" Piper j3 Cub (very basic plane!) :D
Best regards and good luck for this competition, you are within my fovourite list here! ;)

@ okichkoatl
If I'm not mistaken, according to the legend, Quetzalkòatl (the plumed snake, lord of the light) should have come back in 2009 and Tezkatlipoca (lord of the night) just one year before, in 2008. Surely you've seen them! :D
Nice modelling!

@ROUBAL
Please, would you tell me more about the biplane you used in your scenes here? Wich model is it? Did you just model it with Blender? Wonderfull effect on the propeller, how did you obtain it? Did you use a motion blur method? Thanks!
Best regards

i have never hear about that legent. there is a lot of information about ketzalkoatl (i write it like that because in nahuatl should be write with k) but the leyend i know of ketzalkoatl is similar to tha story of christ of course with many difference but, hi dissapear, because he was tempted, and he was defeated by his brother tezkatlipoka. but hi promes hi will return. but i didnt knon nothing about return in 2008 or 2009. other thing that i know is that ketzalkoatl is Venus. is like a bright star in the morning and in the evening. anyway. there is a lot a lot a lot of info about tolteca culture.

i'm glad you like the modeling. i was planning to retouchit with zbrush but i dont know how to use it well yet. and i havent used Sculpt in blender.

Saludos.
Oscar Paz.

I'm not Roubal but I can answer this one ;) : this is a Stampe, a very famous training and aerobatics Belgian plane. His model is so nice he probably modeled it himself

The Piper J3 may not be modern, but I have some hours on my log book flying a PA-19 (F-BOML)which is roughly the same as the J3 with 90hp engine, and I can tell you that this is a wonderfull machine to fly!

Can somebody in charge please answer this doubts I have:

* Are we allowed to composite together two raw Octane renders, which are part of the same scene (the reason is optimising the amount of exported geometry)

* Are we allowed to composite in a background image. The rules seems to not allow this, but a lot of people did it. Now, I don't know if they did it in an image manipulating software or they inserted a textured plane in the scene, but the latter is kinda counter-intuitive, since this competition is also about promoting 2.4 features, one of which is saving with alpha for compositing purposes.
