Now that the competition is over:
Any word on when the lightfield renders of the winning entries will be made available? Can't wait to try out one myself on the DK2.

They won't be release.
Otoy is trying to promote their Lightfield technology, showing it privately to investors.
Octane v3 will have the ability to render out LightFields, but the LightField player won't be publicly available for some time, so basically we won't see those LightFileds on our machines anytime soon.. :cry:

We've asked oculus to let us show at OC2. Will keep you posted.

Thanks for replying and great to hear you are willing to showcase a light field demo at OC2. I'm guessing Oculus would be more than glad to have you, especially given the very positive remarks made by Carmack regarding OTOY during OC1 last year. I won't be able to make it, so here's to hoping a public light field demo is released sometime soon. I'm dying to try this amazing technology myself as its a perfect fit for proper high quality VR, even on mobile.
