General questions on integration

Hello,

Thank you for this first version. :D

I have questions, for the moment :

- The lightmixer works but the lightlinker doesn't

- How to make a IES light ?

- How to set octane camera ?

- "Rendergeometrysettings" works but it looks simple.

- How to set Octane : AI, passes, PTH or DL, Sampling etc.. the actual rendersettings is very bare in options.

- The rotation of dome light doesn't move the HDRi texture, how to make them move together ?

- Where is located the ACES option ?

This is my first observation.

Thank you again to provide this fantastic solution. Our studio is thrilled to use Solaris & Octane principaly in our pipeline for our next works.

Anyway, do you have a documentation?

We will keep in touch with remarks to make your product a production-ready solution.

Hello guys,

I remarque this :

- There is not "surface" output on Octane Material Builder. We cannot use the Collect node.
- The Distance Light dosen't working.
- The Camera F-Stop porpertise dosen't influence the final rendering.

Hello,

I have this message when I import a volume in STAGE :

cannot read metadata "file_delayed_load" of unregistered type "__delayedload"
unsupported VDB file format (expected version 223 or earlier, got version 224)

I've been testing Octane's Solaris delegate, But I've barely made it work. Transforming lights does not work (neither scale, rotation or transform), and there is no option to select any kernels on render properties. Are this known issues of the beta or am I doing something wrong?

Would you please share or PM me a sample scene?
We are able to replicate the Thin Wall issue.

Hi Diego,

Thank you so much for the post.

We plan to improve the Houdini lights in the later releases as it's a huge task.

Octane Render target and other Octane nodes are already supported via Material Library node and all the properties are already available.
Please find the attached file to refer to the workflow.
