Thanks J works a treat so far.. Render layers rock! Maybe used with alpha output I can finally setup object masks as I've always wanted to. Maybe we''l have the same for materials one day?

Juano having some issues with the latest plugin release 2.23.2.1, where IPR picking surfaces and editing them means I have to reload IPR to see the changes. Also other oddities where IPR selecting a surface will mix up other surfaces in the scene. I remember something similar going on with a much earlier build (1.5x something) but was then fixed.

Weird issue. I don't have reports about problems with the IPR picking in the last builds. Do you have a sample scene to reproduce this problems?

Impossible to send you the file I'm working on now but will try and get a test scene to you asap. Perhaps it's because I'm using the 2015.2 plugin version inside of LW 2015.1?

Thanks. I don't think so, but anyway perhaps you could install the 2015.2 release only to test your scene with Octane. In theory the 2015.2 plugin should work in 2015.1 without problems.

Not an option right now unfortunately.

I happen to still have 2015.1 installed as well (lazy me :D).
So I tried the 2.23.2.1 in it and it picks the surfaces from IPR without problems :)

So your problem must be somewhere else or then something specific with surfaces. Can you tell me what kind of surfaces you have problems with so I could make similar here and test? Or even send the SRF files + needed textures by PM?

Good luck :)

Just been doing some texturing using Presets. Would it be possible to implement drag and drop between the presets panel and the IPR window? That'd be cool.

Sorry, the LightWave SDK doesn't support drag and drop features at all.
