Hi Juanjo,
thankyou for this update.

There is a bug in 2021: the LW procedural textures (as grid, checkboard, and so on) connected in the red "procedural" link of "Octane Texture Image" node, don't work. All was ok in 2020, not in 2021.

I hope you can fix it...

Bye and happy new year :)

Hmm, I used that setup yesterday and it worked, are you sure you had UV map/projection node plugged in ?

I used LW turbulence texture, not really grid but shouldn't be any difference if one procedural works, no reason others wouldnt.

I think I do all right because in 2020 works without problems. I made a render for a client today, and 2021 was without texture, so I swithced to 2020, load the same scene, same objects, and the render was ok. It wasn't the first time it happened.
I don't know what to say. I will do more tests.

It works correctly for me, maybe an example scene.

Says on the first post:

"And please make sure to use a NVIDIA Studio driver with version at least 456.38 on Windows or 455.23 on Linux"

Hi Juanjo, I understand that Lightwave will most likely never be supported by Ota and this is the last plugin for it, but nevertheless - do you have any plans to fix the existing bugs in this latest plugin or have you finally stopped supporting the Lightwave plugin?

I want to take a look at your instancing related bug, but to be honest I have no idea about what could be the problem yet.

It's just my understanding that if this is a render engine level issue, then the developers should be informed about it so that they can make the necessary corrections to the code. And it seems to me that they can only hear about this problem from you. Since our, ordinary users, remarks most likely do not fall on their level (maybe I'm wrong).

Any chance we can have the new 2021 render target added? I'm sure this would still be good with the current LWSDK...

Thanks,

Shaun.
