Octane 2020.1 For Unreal Engine - v0.39: 2020.1.4

Octane for Unreal Engine 0.39
Changes:
  • Upgraded to Octane 2020.1.4

Fixes:
  • Fixed issue with octane nodegraphs crashing in the unreal octane-material editor
  • Fixed issue with unreal texture RGBA output not being translated to OSL correctly
  • Fixed OctaneObjectLayerComponent errors resulting from moving in and out of PIE and sequencer
  • Fixed CPU skinning issue

Could you show me the octane logs?

Open the OctaneGUI (from the toolbar dropdown menu next to the large octane start button)
Then in the OctaneGUI, go to the top and select "windows" and open the log window.

Hey, it was saying out of video memory and that only 1mb was available

but after the 10th restart it's working as expected... any idea what could have caused this so I can avoid in the future?
970 4gb ram.

The 970 series sometimes have issues with this.

There are the following options:
Lower parallel samples in the kernel node of the rendertarget.
Reduce the render resolution
Turn RTX off
Turn denoiser off

At default 0.39 on UE 4.25.2

How did that black spot at the top appear? Did you reinstall the plugin and did it fix it

Do you have the same issue with 2020.1.4 standalone?
And could you try to re-install the plugin. (Note that you have to turn unreal off before reinstalling).

Hello, I did reinstall and that fixed it. Maybe it was because I installed it while it was running, I don't remember. :oops:
But after the reinstall it is working, THX!

When can Octane Plugin support the Hair Groom System in 4.25?
Desperately hope to see it.
