I have test Octane with an Unreal scene, and it's gorgious and stable, thanks !
However, I have the same problem than ''jonathantsay'' but i export my ORBX from Modo.
When I try to slide the ORBX file in the window, it show me only the ORender icon.
It's the same things with an ORBX from the Standalone.
But when I click the ORBX file in the Content Browser, I don't see the Nodegraph of OR, but the material graph of Unreal.
Is it clear ...?
Thanks for your answer ... Patrice

Indeed, it opens the Unreal graph editor. However it is not the material editor, but the ORBX editor and will allow you to edit the orbx.
We wanted to keep everything inside of the unreal editor for interoperability reasons. As we need to guarantee lifetime, and add the ability to add unreal textures and models later.

That being said, we do allow you to open the Octane GUI and edit the orbx contents from there. You do need to either open the ORBX asset, or add it to the scene before you can edit it in the Octane GUI

I tried rendering a sequence of images, but I only get a little bit of movement. Is rendering supported in the new build?

yes, a new build with 4.23 installers has been released.

Octane materials should have already a preview window in the editor. You can open octane materials by double clicking them in the content browser.

Public Beta...

Hi Otoy
I've started getting involved with UE and as a long time Octane user I wanted to use the plug in.
No luck I'm afraid.
Is the beta still in public mode?
I couldn't for the life of me find a plugin to buy on Otoy.

Peace
Josh

Yes the beta is still public. There is a free tier, and if you have studio or enterprise for another Octane product, you can use that licence in unreal for the duration of the beta.
You can get the latest build here: viewtopic.php?f=132&t=72750

Hi Chris
Thanks for the reply.
I still get bumped as it looks like I don't have "All access".
Stand alone and a couple of plug in options but no All Access.

Bummer.
