Octane failed to load

I have downloaded the latest source code from UE5.1 (Branch "UE5.main") on Github

I have succesfully compiled this version with Visual Studio Community 2019 and it launches normally.

I have then downloaded the latest version of the Unreal Octane plugin: Octane 2021.1.6 for Unreal Engine - 0.58

I have tried to install this Octane plugin in the UE5.1 folder. It seems to install normally and the Octane folder is created and filled with the required files inside the Engine\Plugins\ directory.

But when I launch the editor I get the following error message:
"Plugin 'OctanePlugin' failed to load because module 'OctanePlugin' could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed."

I have tried both OctanePrime0_58_UE5_0.exe and OctaneStudio0_58_UE5_0.exe

What should I do to fix this is and make sure the OctanePlugin can load?

This is not something you can do with unreal. Plugins and modules are created for specific major versions of Unreal.
So you can only use the plugin for the version it was compiled against. The version you are using was compiled against 5.0, not 5.1

You could try and jinx it by changing the BuildId in the UnrealEditor.modules file to your 5.1 BuildId, but there is a good chance it will crash if you do that.
