UE4 Octane keeps failing render

OctaneRender Prime 2020.2 RC5 (10020900)

CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
  -> failed to download symbol(stats data)
device 0: direct light kernel failed
CUDA error 700 on device 0: an illegal memory access was encountered
  -> failed to load symbol data to the device(deep_data)
device 0: failed to upload the deep params


Any solution? Please help I use UE4.26, and up-to-date GTX1660Ti Studio Driver 460.89

This looks like lack of gpu memory issue. Does the failing happen on every scene? Or just large ones?

Additionally, you could try to turn off the denoiser before you render. You can do this by going to the imager, and disabling the denoiser there.

I had a problem where the render failed too. The problem was parallel samples. It was set to 16 by default; I set it to 0 or 1 and that fixed the issue.

I think all parallel samples does it potentially make renders faster the higher you set it (within the limits of your RAM), but I haven't noticed that.

That is correct, it cost about 70mb or so per extra sample, set it low, and check your usage. Then slowly turn it up without going over.
