hey this is more of a question. in ue4 texture editor when I change the max Texture resolution does this affect the resolution used in octane or not ?

At the moment it caps out at 2k. The cap is based on the unreal default max in game.
Ill check if I can make it match the unreal max in-game

You can change the system ini files to increase the max resolution, and when you are using HDRI, your HDRI cube map will be much higher res also.

i was talking about reducing a texture res on the go to keep v-ram at a nice point
