Transfering materials from an ORBX to Unity

Hi,

I have a project in Modo and I am looking to transfer all the materials into my Unity scene. Is there a way to do this? It seems like the LiveDB and LocalDB are missing from Unity. Copy and paste in the node editor also does not work.

I am also wondering about the regular materials. If I make a material in Octane, it will not affect the 'real' unity material right? I am using Octane in Unity to bake the lighting texture, but I think I will have to recreate these materials in regular Unity materials to make my VR experience. If the regular materials could just copy the Octane materials as well, then I would be set.

Any idea on how to easily copy all my Modo/Octane materials to Unity/Octane?

If you can export your modo scene as an .Orbx file, you could then import that file into Octane for Unity via the top menu (Octane -> Import Orbx)
It should create materials for your. Not sure if this process will properly link the textures and materials. ut it should help you along.
