Unity PBR Viewport vs Export vs Octane Render

First, thankyou for your hard work creating this, integrating with Unity, and offering a free version. :)

In the above link are two different Unity3D scenes. One is an unedited demo scene of the OTOY spaceship, I might have moved the camera just a little bit. The other is a project I'm working on. The PBR Viewport in Unity is much too dark and significantly does not represent the final render. The good news is, the Octane Render screen looks like the exported image from the PBR Viewport, but that really doesn't help me when I'm trying to work directly in Unity.

* Unity 2017.3.0f3
* Octane Plugin Version: 1.1.0.1223
* Octane version: 3.07 (3070007)

Hardware is Asus GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Let me know if there are any settings you need.

Hi joel.penner,
I think you should check Gamma match or response in your Octane Unity imager
https://docs.otoy.com/UnityH/UnityManual.htm#Unity/Imager.htm

It appears this is a gamma issue with the drawtexture function provided by unity that causes the viewport to be darker than unity and the octane interface.
We'll take a look at it.

Hi JOel,

Is this what you are saying:
Is it possible to import an ORBX file into Unity and use it in Unity directly without the Octane Render plugin viewport?
because that is what I am trying to find out?

I have seen this youtube vid; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATWFVViiiJc&t=182s
but that shows the ORBX as a proxy in Unity and rendered in the OR plugin viewport...
but when mkaing a gameplay in Unity (without using OctaneRender pugin viewport), then the ORBX is not to be seen/used as materialised object(s), or is it?
because that would be awsome.
