Render Target settings (Resolution for VR?)

I'm trying to create a basic cube map from the PBR Render Target in the courtyard demo scene. I've set the camera type to be panoramic and I've set the Projection to 6 sided Cubemap but I'm wondering what the optimal resolution should be? When I try to choose GearVR I get an error saying the render resolution is too large (9216 vs the 8192 max). Anyone have any experience with this?

This is due to a limitation on texture sizes in Unity. We have a fix in the pipeline which will be released with our upcoming release.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I've switched to Spherical instead but now the actual render itself appears grainy. Any advice on this? I've attached a screenshot b/c the render itself is too large to upload.

The grainy noise is a side effect of the path tracing being used by Octane. Setting your kernel up with a higher max sample target will reduce the noise.
