When will current After Effects plug-in be ready?

Now going on four months into the new Subscription model and no Octane AE plugin yet. Was told it would be released first quarter of 2019. Will this be coming in the next few weeks? What is the realistic schedule? Are there any problems with it that is delaying release? Please provide some concrete information. Thanks!

We're planning to refresh the plug-in once 2019.2 work is done.

“...planning on refreshing the plugin” doesn’t exactly sound like a very firm commitment, certainly not what I was told when I subscribed to the new Octane pricing model. Have to say I am disappointed.

Is there any reason why the plugin can’t just be released to work with current After effects 2019 and Octane 2018?
Octane 2019 is still in development testing. Could be months before it is released. And then probably months after that before the After Effects plugin is ready for it. By that time, it might very well be a full year since I subscribed to new subscription model without the promised AE plugin.

What's the story with the After Effects plugin? We're way past 2019. Octane 2020.1 was just officially released! Is the After Effects plugin dead? The old ones aren't even available in the download section anymore. Some straight talk would be appreciated.

It’s just fallen behind on our todo list with all the core work, Mac work and Ahmet’s focus on C4D, but not forgotten. I don’t want to post an ETA until we are sure of it.

Thanks for the update Goldorak. Certainly, Mac / AMD development is a huge boon for Octane and I’m really looking forward to being able to use it on my Mac again as well. But consider that Element 3D, which I love and use all the time, is getting really long in the tooth with no update for some years now. So that might be a good opportunity to market Octane for After Effects (even though the two are very different plugins).

This is ridiculous. Otoy has never truly had an After Effects plugin and never will. Yet you *claim* to have one.

It's not fair to ask Aoktar to do it. I know he has too much on his plate already. Assign someone with the bandwidth or stop claiming you offer it. If it's too big a hurdle...admit it to yourselves and your customers.

As it stands this is nothing but a lie.

Jules, I love me some Otoy (c4d) but you gotta learn to say 'no' to some things...just like S-Jobs did.

We are looking at a new partner to develop the AE plug-in. As I said before, want to make sure that the plan is finalized before we put more details out there.
