Mac OS X 10.12.6 (16G29) / MacBook Pro 15" mid-2012 /w Retina Display
OctaneRender Standalone 3.06.4
OctaneRender for Blender 12.2
Blender 2.78a
Hardware connected: 3DConnexion SpaceMouse Wireless
[I have a crash log file; available upon request]
Load a Blender project with Octane materials already set (not the one with Blender's default startup scene)
Problem:
Blender will exit with unexpected error when changing surface type drop-down menu in material tab window:
Replicate:
-> Material tab window
-> Surface, drop-down menu then choose any item
-> (crash)
To avoid the crash:
Use Node Editor to safely disconnect/connect all types of Octane shaders to Material Output.
Note:
I can easily replicate the same problem with pretty much any .blend project.
Never happened in previous versions.
