Hi!
I've been running into this issue from time to time. Certain objects seem to lose the ability to scatter as duplicated objects, despite sharing the same mesh data and regardless of the mesh type defined in the octane properties. The same object scatters fine using particle systems and as group instances.
The only way I've found to fix this problem is to join the affected object with a new one, this combined object scatters no problem. This solution isn't always viable though in a production environment.
It mostly seems to affect objects copy-pasted from other projects, so maybe it has to do with differences between Octane / Blender versions? Whatever the cause it seems mighty unpredictable to me and causes a lot of headaches when memory use suddenly spikes due to objects behaving as if globally allocated as opposed to being scattered.
I've attached a Blend-file with a bicycle model which exhibits this behaviour, any help would be appreciated.
Cheers /Erik
