OctaneRender™ for Blender 3.04 - 11.4 Win [OBSOLETE]

This is a TEST version. It may have some bugs, please don't use it for production. Please report the bugs in a Bug Reports section of Blender forum.


OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.
To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).


FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE

  • New Octane 3.04 core.
  • Fully reworked the export functionality. Implemented the asynchronous behaviour for Octane export, now it does not block the UI. Other export improvements...
  • Implemented new functionality for complex hair coloring. New Octane's settings in particle systems: "Min. W" and "Max. W". Now you can map different parts of color gradient (assigned to a mesh) to different hair particle systems, so different hair strands of same mesh could have different root-to-tip gradients. For automatic W interpolation use "Hair length" or "Segment count" options in the new "Hair W interpolation" setting of a mesh object. If you want to fine-tune this manually (using new "Min. W" and "Max. W" settings of a hair system) - set it to "Use hair Ws".
  • New "AO ambient texture" parameter in Octane direct lighting kernel. You can set it the same way as you do for texture/medium in Octane environment settings. Please read a standalone manual about this parameter.
  • Other new things brought together with 3.04 core (some new nodes, pins, etc...). You can read about them in Octane standalone 3.04 release notes.
  • Minor fixes and improvements...

Please, if you decided to report a bug:

- Don't post in Blender section the reports about how Octane engine works - use the Octane Standalone forum sections for that.
- Give a meaningful description about what you think is wrong and how to reproduce it (in addition to screenshots if any). I can't solve the "one screenshot" rebuses without any meaningful description...
