Thank you for reporting this.
We have created tickets on our tracking system to investigate on sample override and request ticket to include the OctaneRender.xml for Linux?
Btw, you just need to extract the .exe windows installer using 7-zip.

AFAIK, the new plugin is designed to not print the refresh image to optimize the plugin.

Exporting a scene as ORBX is not working correctly for ORBX materials, texture files are lost in the process.

Could you please share us a Maya sample scene? It seems to work on our side, not sure if anyone has this same issue.

Indeed the bug is not what I described, I went too fast this has nothing to do with exporter and linked files sorry :oops:


Please have a look at the attached scene, an error happen when loading the ORBX material :

Can't connect node 'Glossy material' (NT_MAT_GLOSSY, 000000007783B0E0) to static pin 'input' (P_INPUT, type PT_MATERIAL) of node 'Material out' (NT_OUT_MATERIAL, 000000007783C520)


Steps to reproduce this bug :
- create an object and apply an ORBX material
- Edit the ORBX material and create a material directly in the node inspector ( so the material is collapsed in the outMaterial node)
- close EDIT window, save and close the Maya scene
- Open the scene again : ERROR on loading the ORBX material
