This is a TEST version, so be prepared to have some issues. Don't use it for production.

Maya® Version Requirements

This release will work with Maya® Versions 2015, 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on MS Windows operating systems, 2015, 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on Linux operating systems, and 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on OSX operating systems (including and above 10.9).

COMPATIBILITY AND OCTANERENDER STANDALONE REQUIREMENT

To run OctaneRender™ for Maya®, you need to also have an activated OctaneRender™ Standalone copy activated on the machine you wish to install the plugin onto.
You cannot purchase and use only the Maya plugin and use it without also owning an activated copy of Octan eRender™ Standalone on your machine.

For network slave and daemon please download standalone installer here:

@Jimstar,
Kudos to you, it seems you managed to make the plugin stable even with the early development On The Fly Maya Texture Baking feature.
Not sure the feature itself is very useful as is, but at least it seems if not used it won't slow down Maya.

lol, don't be grumpy about that, if an external file is referenced several times in a Maya scene, obviously Maya can't avoid to have several times the same UUID in the scene.
So testing this case was unavoidable anyway.
On the other hand, that's right when importing file referenced several times in a scene, Maya should change UUID like it's done for any importation...

Anyway, thanks a lot for having fixed at light speed the 2 production issues and making the plugin stable again :)

While you are at fixing the ORBX exporter, here are two major issues still pending, when using OctaneRender animated scene exporter.

MAJOR ISSUE1
Animated visibilty is not exported
This triggers lot of problems, for example if objects are not visible in first frame nothing is exported,
as in this sample scene:
animatedVisibility.zip
(14.36 KiB) Downloaded 208 times

MAJOR ISSUE2
Fluid animation is not exported.
Only a one frame VDB grid is exported,
empty most of the time as fluids are usually still not emitted at the first frame ...
Example2DFluid.zip
(29.8 KiB) Downloaded 209 times
