I don't think i can write down in words how disappointed I am with Otoy. I'm just holding out hope that the redshift guys can make an OSX port (yes, i know I'm in the wrong thread) so I can jump ship from this dire company. I bought a new 3.0 license when first released & still don't have any useable version of it, can't even run v2 plugin alongside v3 standalone due to their mad DRM. Any/all support emails have led in endless loops.

This is by far the worst company I've ever had the displeasure to give my money.

Seriously dude, we need a progress update.

I, (and other people, i'm sure) have bought new hardware based on you saying that it would be a quick update to get V2 compatible with Pascal. I have $1500 of graphics cards acting as a paper weight right now. Other people have hundreds or thousands of dollars of licenses for V3 that they can't use and don't really know when it will be usable.

Based on faith in your word and your company, people have literally spent their hard earned money on your product, and hardware to continue you to use your product and now we're just getting the silent treatment. I have no clue if I wasted $1500 or if I will be able to put this paper weight to use next week? next month?

Whenever one of you guys gave us a date, we've always waited patiently and mostly quietly till that date comes around, so it's a huge slap in the face when we don't get the simple courteousy of a progress update when a date is missed. Especially when some of our purchasing decisions rely on your word. We understand that things get delayed but we don't understand the lack of transparency when things get delayed and we are left in the dark.

Hi,

Apologies for the belated response. My hope was to report some significant changes on my next update.

Updating the V2 builds is requiring more than a simple recompile - this is still the pre-deployment stage that is still in progress. The best that can be done at this point is to navigate these challenges as quickly as possible, and building up our resources around Maya support to make this process more effective. Until then, there will not be much to update users on until the work is nearing full completion. Apologies for not meeting the expectations of a community that has invested a lot of time and shown a lot of patience with this transition into Octane 3.

Until the well starts to fill up again, in terms of meaningful updates, I will do my best follow-up any questions users will have at this point.

we need dates. not "we are working on it and it's taking longer than we thought." We've had that same speech for the past 7 months and this is more of the same.

WE NEED DATES. When you miss those dates, we need updated dates. WE PAID FOR THIS PRODUCT AND WE ARE NOT GETTING ADEQUATE SUPPORT OR TRANSPARENCY.

Now we don't have the ability to post new topics in the maya forum? how is that even remotely acceptable, especially considering the plugin situation?
