Changes since 19.X:

• Integrated the Octane 2021 XB1 engine.
• Fully refactored the previous Passes system.
• Implemented the auto-conversion of previous format scenes from the old Passes setup to a new render-AOV setup.
• Implemented the Maya 2022 support (the Maya 2017 support is dropped).
• Implemented a non-standard hack to have the Octane tool-panel directly in Maya's standard renderView window.
• Fixed the Image Plane bug, and few other minor bugs...

Known issues:

• The MacOS version of Octane SDK is still not available.
• The new "SDF" render-mode of Octane meshes will crash Maya if selected: this is an Octane SDK bug. Should be fixed in later SDK versions...

Hi Jim,

I wish we could have a update of the engine please latest stable 2020.2.4? we are waiting to update our farm and priority is not beta 2021 to be honest cause will take a while to be stable and we could use the fixes is way more sensible then this beta plugs.

Hi Jim

I'm having trouble setting up ACES OCIO in Maya, the confusing part is "Octane Settings" OCIO config override is blank aswell as EXR color space and EXR OCIO look. Are these supposed to be directed to "aces_1.2\config.ocio"?

With my current setup it's showing linear/sRGB in the viewport rendering and IPR is black, When I change from "Aces sRGB" to "Aces Raw" I can see the render again.
