Hi Zurakan,

Can you please cut/paste the `libfbxsdk.dll` from [c:\programfiles\Autodesk\maya2016\bin\plug-ins] to [c:\programfiles\Autodesk\maya2016\bin] folder then try loading Octane Maya 2016?

It is a large scene, with instances (650,000 particles). The error appears 80% of the time. In the remaining 20% of the time it remains frozen.

Hi Maskeline,

Thank you for reporting this.

We are looking into this issue now. In the meantime, could you please try to reinstall and see if the Maya still returns the same error?

We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Kind Regards

Hi.
Resinstall the software same issue... when you finish the samples, you end up with an error.

Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2017/scripts/others/mayaBatchRenderProcedure.mel line 651: Renderer returned an error while rendering 'defaultRenderLayer', please verify the output image.

Hey Makeline,

Is the render error message coming up only in this version? Have you tried on the previous stable version yet?

Please try closing, if there is multiple instance of Maya leave one>set the Maya project path in Maya 2017> reopen the file and save/saveas new file then run the command line render.

Here are some useful command line flags :

Maya batch flags type Render -h
Octane render specific flags type Render -r octane -h

Let us know if this method works.
Kind Regards

Hi.
The command batch flags are fine; project path, gpu and render directory.
Try to save the scene again and import it into a clean scene; it was not solved. I did not have any more instance of Maya working, only the batch render.
With the previous version of the plugin (stable) I have not had this problem.
Now it is working well in Maya 2018, but not in Maya 2017.
