Hey Guys,

I'm a Octane user for Cinema4D for quite some time now and since i'm also learning Houdini, i bought a license for this too. Great to see the progress in developement here. I have a particle simulation here which i try to render but i can't figure out how. I just need the particles as tiny spheres exactly how i could render it in mantra. I found the help where it is described that i should use the instance node, but since i'm pretty new to Houdini, i can't figure out how to set it up. So it would be great if someone could give me a short walkthrough.

Thanks!
Simon

It is easy. You only need to add a Houdini "instance" OBJ node, set the object to be instanced in the "Instance Object" parameter, and configure a SOP network inside the instance node to merge the object that is the source of the particles and extract the points information.

You have a sample scene attached to this email.
