Hi!

This is the latest production build of OctaneRender™ 3.0 for Houdini™ compiled with the Octane 3.08.4 core. This release is available for the Houdini 15.5/16.0/16.5 latest production builds on Windows x64, Linux gcc4.8 and OSX 10.11. This plugin is also compatible with Houdini 15.5/16.0/16.5 Indie. In this case, the plugin will have a 4k limited resolution while rendering sequences, and the scene export and cloud rendering features disabled.

RELEASE 3.08.4.0

* OCTANE FEATURES AND BUGS FIXED:

- Octane prints now a warning in the log if the environment variable CUDA_VISIBLE_DEVICES or CUDA_LAUNCH_BLOCKING is set. The effect of these is that not all GPUs are visible, causing rendering to be slower.
- Fixed loading of Y/chroma EXR images.
- Fixed sampling of the specular Beckmann BRDF.
- Fixed incorrect recording of contributions of diffuse surfaces in the diffuse passes if they are behind specular objects with "affects alpha" enabled.
- Fixed crash or incorrect normal import of subdivided, deformed meshes.
- Fixed incorrect alpha weight of beauty passes causing noisy, aliased edges.
- Fixed incorrect transition of the shadow passes to the background and between active and inactive layers.

I hope to have it ready this week, but the H17 plugins will be released for Octane 4.00 only. There are a lot of changes in the plugin code related to the new H17 HDK, that at least currently are done only in the Octane 4.00 plugin code branch.

The console messages can be related to some kind of missing information in the internal Octane scene, but you can ignore them if you have no other problems.

The warning message loading the scenes is related to a deprecated option. It is safe to ignore it. You should not get it again once you save the scene.
