Error when trying to save .orbx

Hello, this is my first time trying to export orbx from houdini, I am getting alembic and .vdb files from my project but no .orbx and getting this error

Code: Select all
Octane API: "Cannot export two channels with the same ID but different offsets"

I'm sure I can fix if I knew what exactly the message is in reference to? I am on Houdini Indie 19.5 and Octane 2022.1

Can you share the project? I had not seen this message before.

Thanks @juanjgon for the quick reply. I went to clean up the project for you and found some extra nodes I was not using and deleted them and now the error is gone. However I still get no .orbx files, just a folder with .abc and .vdbs (which are also incrementing strangely like

Code: Select all
_obj_fog.vdb
_obj_fog.vdb2
_obj_fog.vdb3
_obj_fog.vdb4
etc

right now I have the "base file name" formatted like this:

Code: Select all
/Flower_12_$F3.orbx

which I'm not sure is correct? Here is the project, it will probably have a lot of missing assets though!

And what happens if you try to export a single frame?

It worked when I tried rendering current frame. Then I tried the start from frame 2 trick I saw elsewhere and that did not work, also tried restarting houdini after. EDIT: I also tried creating a new ROP and still no luck doing more than 1 frame.

I'm investigating an issue that could be related to your problems. It seems that the previews scene is not fully cleaned while exporting new frames, but it is hard to say in your case, because the attached scene is too complex and without the assets it is impossible to reproduce the problem here. If you have a simple scene with this kind of issue, it could help a lot.

Thanks,

Can you please check if this custom build of the Octane 2022.1.0.6 Houdini plugin helps in your case. It includes several fixes in the .orbx export functions. The next build will include the just-released Octane 2022.1.1 core.
