Volume (Fire) noise and fire flies

Hiya! I'm ready to render out a project I just got 1 issue. I'm casting a light down a tunnel, with a thin film "water" surface in front of it. I also have the environment medium enabled. Got some noise or fireflies at the tips of the volumes where the density is lower. I'm fiddled with just about every setting. The only thing that gets rid of it is turning off the light that comes from above. Is it a samples setting? The volume shader? It's not a VDB. Standard Houdini Volume. Any help would be great! Cheers

I'm not sure, to be honest. If the GI clamp parameter doesn't work perhaps the hot pixel removal feature available in the imager node could help.

Thanks,
