AOV's Broken?

Hi,

Since i started using octane i don't think i've ever managed to get a full AOV set without a bunch breaking into these stripe patterns. Is there a reason this might happen?

Tried attaching an exr with example aov's but i think its too big, so screenshot of one of them :)

This has been accross H18 and H18.5, Octane 2020.1.3.0 and 2020.1.5.3

Hi,

I've never seen anything like that. I wonder if it could be related to the drivers version, but if you can share a scene with this issue I could take a look at it here.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

Acctually i just bought into After Effects and its not appearing this way. I was saying everything above based on reading these exrs into Mplay

Very curious - for example Ambient Occlusion in Mplay is showing empty or incorrect Accross RGBA, but somehow comes into after effects correct.

Heres an exr straight from octane, would be great to know if you find the same?

Yes, this seems some kind of problem or limitation in MPlay. In other applications, your EXR file seems right. Perhaps you should report this issue to SideFX ;)

Will do!

Gonna keep an eye on this though as its only ever happened with octane renders, not seen it with mantra / arnold / redshift etc..

Will shout if i can find anything out

So incase anyone else has this i found the solution -

- Turning on "EXR layers short names without spaces" fixes incorrect display of layers in Mplay

Not sure if it was the length or Spaces that was throwing it off, but this seems to settle things :D

Ah, true. I had added this option to fix a problem while loading the EXR files in COPs. Probably the MPlay issue comes from the same Houdini limitation. Sorru, I didn't remember it.

Thanks,
