Octane in Houdini not rendering frame sequence

Hi There,

I have a frame range set in my animation.
Plus I have "Rendering mode" set to "Full Scene Reload"
The file name is just "test3_$F.EXR"

BUt it doesnt render my animation, just one frame.
Anybody any ideas?

PS might be relevant, it is rendering an animated alembic file, one that plays nice in the viewpoint. And when rendering "current frame" does work well in Octane.
Using Houdini 17.5, and Octane subscription V2018.1.3

Fixed, "Override Mplay Frame" was still turned on in the ROP node.
No idea why this seems to be the default in Octane.

Hi,

This option is enabled by default because usually, the users render the sequence to disk exporting image files and using MPlay only as a rendering progress preview tool. Storing the full sequence in MPlay can eat a lot of CPU RAM, sometimes needed by the scene or Octane.

Thanks,
