Hi, its been a few day I cant get rid of this artifacts on my object. I tried everything, cleaned attributes and groups by Clean SOP, Polydoctor, then i tried Divide it using Divide SOP, and then ive been told about Ray epsilon, and still nothing, its shows everytime, i was trying to delete some parts of the object to find which one is broken, and its shows really weird, it didnt help. But in octane standalone it works fine actually, this bug only in Houdini, (i have 17.5.173), it broke my head, such kind of magic
here is the model so you could try it

What a weird issue! I had never seen anything like that. Let me investigate it. It could be a bug introduced in the latest plugin build ... what Octane version are you using?

Thanks,

Ok. I have a clue about the problem. In your object, there are some polygons that share the latest vertex (to render them as a wireframe mesh? I don't know), so they have more vertices than points. You can see these polygons as a wireframe in the attached image.

These kinds of polygons are not supported by the plugin and in fact, they are breaking the whole object extraction. Probably if you remove these polygons all should work fine, but I'll try to add a filter to the plugin to remove them automatically.

Thanks,
-Juanjo

oh cool! that really works, thanx juanjgon, so simple, i even didnt think that those edges without polygons could brake whole geometry, good to know =) thanks!
