Hi,

before installing the demo, which exists for two versions inside the archive, will one of them also work with Houdini 16.5.497? Or how are daily builds handled, as they often have crucial bugs removed.

Another question, I have a Lightwave version of the plugin I won't ever use anymore, since I completely abandoned LW and switched to Houdini. Is there a way of switching or sidegrading?
And how will the plugins be handled in 4.0?

Hi,

The latest build 3.08.1.0 release post has been updated with links to download the proper plugin version for the latest Houdini 16.5.497 production build. These links include the regular, subscription and demo versions in the same .zip file for each OS (check the Release 3.08.1.0 for Houdini 16.5.496 (all versions) section):

About the plugin licenses switching, I'm afraid that this is not possible, as far as I know, but you could send an email to Otoy asking for it. Also, I don't have the final details about how the licenses are going to work in the future final Octane 4 builds. Sorry. At least currently, you can use the current Octane 3 plugin licenses with the Octane 4 plugins beta builds.

Is this a normal restriction that while the ipr window is open navigating the view isn't possible?

Ah no, sorry, using the 3D Mouse doesn't work, I have to close the ipr window first. Gives these error messages:

If I navigate with the normal shortcuts it works.


I have emailed the support with the license questions, will see what happens.
