I have Houdini 16.5 installed and after purchasing a subscription to Octane VR/Houdini Combo, the only download available is for Houdini 16. After emailing support, it appears subscription users are just stuck out until build 3.08 is made available to Subscription users. That, or go back to H16.

If there are Beta/Test builds (ie, 3.08) available for regular licenses, why not for subscription users?

Usually, the subscription builds are only released for the final Octane versions, but it is true that in this case, the only build available compatible with Houdini 16.5 is the current 3.08.0.0 plugin. I'll send you by pm the links to download it.

I have the same issue, I have houdini indie16.5, and the 3.07 VR doesn't seem to work, so i've downloaded the 3.08 plugin from the forum but I think it's a ' license' product and not a 'subscription' one because it doesn't seem to work too,
when I want to launch the IPR it says 'could not find the required license' so I don't really understand.

I have another subscription on the same account for C4D and it works well.

Do you release a 3.08 subscription version for houdini 16.5 ?

Usually, the subscription builds are available only for the final Octane releases, not for the test builds. In any case, we are going to release soon the next 3.08 plugin build, and in this case, I'll try to include also the subscription version because the 3.08 plugin is the only one that can work with Houdini 16.5. Should be a matter of few days.

Hi,

The new Houdini plugin release, including the subscription builds and the support for the latest Houdini 16.5 production build will be released along this week.

Near all the new Octane 3.08 RC1 features are ready, so I'll make a new release as soon as possible to make sure that all the users (including the subscription ones) can work with the latest Houdini builds, to later finish all the OSL nodes stuff in an upcoming build.

I just purchased octane for Houdini as well, and the last stable version is 15.5. (we don't use that anymore)

You have the latest plugin build (3.08 RC1) that includes versions for all the latest Houdini 16.5 production builds here:

The latest production build (3.07) is also available in the forum, but it is a bit old, so it doesn't include a plugin version for Houdini 16.5, but it fully supports H16.0:
