Locked Octane Plugin Tweet

Hello there!

maybe someone can help here:
Octane won't render properly in Houdini in my system, means:
I can assign Octane materials on objects, but everything appears in neon-magenta in the IPR renderframe.
Also all Octane materials are locked in the node viewer.

Beside that now worries, no crashes.
i just have to start Houdini from hindie.exe, since we had some minor license issues after purchase.

I am a bloody Houdini beginner, there may be just a checkbox I am not aware of.

Hi,

The material nodes can be set in the object "Material" parameter, or you can drag and drop them in the viewport. Usually, the Octane materials are built inside the Octane Network SHOP, or in the new Octane Material Builder VOP if you are working in the H16 /mat context, but if you want to unlock one of the available material presets, you only need to right click over the material nodes and select "Allow Editing of Contents".
