Rendering in MPlay?

Hi, how do I output a preview render of a sequence to MPlay? When I use Render->MPlay->OctaneROP i see the frames rendering one by one, but in the MPlay window there's no sequence- it only shows one frame and just continually overwrites it as it renders.

Also in a seperate case I have a FEM simulation and the geometry updates in the IPR, but not in MPlay.

What gives?

Hi,

In the Octane ROP node, Output tab, you have the "Override MPlay frame" option. You must disable this option if you want to store the full sequence in MPlay.

If you have problems with the simulations update while rendering a sequence, probably the problem is that you are rendering the animation in "Update" mode. In the Octane ROP node, Main tab, you can select the "Full scene reload" rendering mode. The animations with objects that don't have a constant topology can't be rendered in update mode.

Thanks,
