IPR window image changes after making edit to render target

Hello Juanjo,

I now have the Octane plugin for Houdini and running Houdini Indie.

I have been working some simple renders but noticed that when I change something or update a value in the octane render target, the image within the IPR window changes to something totally different (usually enlarges to a different area). I do have my camera locked so I can use the viewport to change the IPR image.

Is this a bug?

Hi,

This was indeed a bug, but it has been fixed several builds ago. Are you working with the latest version 3.05.3.0?

Thanks,

Hmm, weird. I'll try to reproduce this problem here, but could be faster if you send me this scene. Is it possible?

Thanks,

Hi Juanjo,

This website would not allow me to upload the indie file for some reason. I've save it to a dropbox folder.

You can use the same file for the speed test.

I can reproduce the IPR camera issue. I'll investigate to see why it happens. Thanks for the scene.

The problem is related to have in the ROP node the render target referenced to the vopnet inside the HDA. If you set the HDA path directly all works fine. Anyway I am going to see if this problem can be fixed.
