This is the current 3.06 build for H15.5 and H16 latest production builds. You can check the release notes inside the "docs" folder:

Be aware that it is a test release, only available for Windows due to several issues with Linux and OSX versions. I hope to make the proper full release for all the Houdini builds and all the OS along next week.

Hi Juanjo,

thanks for the new updates and I am looking forward to the
next H16 production build and your new version. Hope
that 3.1 will arrive in the near future.

I know you are not allowed to say anything about releases
and also not for anything we ask or stated for. So my little point
out that redshift is around the corner made you a really big
smile in your face I think … right? … now everything makes
sense to me and brings some light into the dark as I have seen
you are also the Houdini plugin dev for redshift too - BOOM.

You really rock a lot and your support here is outstanding
fast all the time. I don´t know how you can do dev things and all
the forum stuff for so many plugins you are working on. You do a
really amazing job and I think you are working at the redshift OSX
at the moment - so I think to have some posts in the redshift
forum too if that thing will be released and I can pick up this
beast too.

So keep up your amazing work - we all appreciate it …

Any update on this? I've been using octane for C4D the last year and purchased Houdini license *assuming* it would work with 16 OS X. Should have tested demo first! Thanks.

Yes, the released 3.06 TEST build has a version for Houdini 16.4.504.20. The next plugin build will have also an additional version for the latest H16 daily builds, that are not binary compatible with the first production build.

In the latest plugin build 3.06.0.0 you should have a plugin version for H16.0.504.20, that is the current Houdini production build.

In the next plugin build that I'll release early next week I'll include again a plugin for this H16 production build and probably a new one for one of the latest daily H16 builds.
