Standalone (nonSubscription) Licences

As I understand in order to use the Cloud Rendering services, i need to have a subscription based product. This boggles my mind as I already am a customer of Octane with 2 standalone licenses and will be spending credits for the renders anyways.
On top of the credits now i'm faced with an entry fee which comes with a product i wont be able to use as the subscription model doesn't work with purchased licence and i wont be able to use that subscription as an additional render node.
I want to create an estimate for a project that i'll be tackling in the coming months for which i want to use the cloud rendering. This should be easy as purchasing some credits to render couple of frames and get an estimate on the whole project. But now i have to pay additional $20 just to have the privilege of purchasing credits.
Please help me out on this one either with an explanation or a demo ORC account so I can purchase my credits, get my estimates and pass it to the client.
