ORC - how and estimating cost

I have a standalone + C4D Octane license... can I use ORC? or do I need to purchase a (really confusingly named!) OctaneVR subscription?

It's not clear - I read a post that says you need an Octane VR Subscription to use ORC... but it doesn't mention it on the ORC page at all. Unless I'm on the wrong page (which wouldn't be hard on this website!)

I did manage to upload a scene to ORC - but it won't estimate my cost based on my render benchmark.
Can anyone advise what the formula is to calculate an estimate cost for an ORC render job. eg. Using your benchmark score with the 100 OB 1200 OB to figure out costs.

It might seem like plain English to Otoy but to users it's pretty baffling.

I don't have any credits (so hence question 1 - do I need the subscription to buy credits?) Can I buy credits if I'm a perpetual license holder and not subscribe?

Clarity from anyone with experience using ORC would be great.

Thanks
