Re: latest demo & Cinema4d Plug-in freezing

... for your time. Yes until now I only tried with a super simple scene, 2 blocks + 1 pointlight, nothing fancy. In the standalone renderer its the 'benchmark' scene setup I believe. My CPU is an old intel Core 2 Quad Q9950 - pls see attached image. Octane_C4d_Crash5.jpg The last time I did some ...

Re: latest demo & Cinema4d Plug-in freezing

terrific.. Isn't that a bit misleading? The FAQ says 'OctaneRender also requires a minimum of 8 GB RAM, and we recommend 16 GB or more', the benchmark says low score but renders faster and better than C4ds renderer. The benchmark uses approx. 900MB of RAM and does its job undisturbed by other ...

Re: latest demo & Cinema4d Plug-in freezing

Hi Beppe, Yeah I know, like I wrote in my first post - my machine is weak, thats why I tried the benchmark first. (the latest, same one you linked) Which worked well, thats why I started this 'journey' trying the C4d-plugin and the standalone in the first place. The benchmark ...

Re: latest demo & Cinema4d Plug-in freezing

... with some of the later Nvidia drivers? Since I didn't found anything wrong in terms of incompatibility or modelseries.. I don't understand the benchmark doing well but the applications freezing, isn't it the same renderer? Octane_C4d_Crash3gfx_info.jpg Well, I hope you can help me. John

latest demo & Cinema4d Plug-in freezing

... here, on my journey trying renderers either compatible with Cinema4d or having a plugin for it I ran into issues.. So, I ran the latest (Octane)benchmark without any issue, because I've got a rather weak machinesetup at the moment. I installed the latest plugin for C4d R20, started with a simple ...

Re: Cannon run benchmark

Oh ok. I just think it was issue with new drivers and I was running older version of OctaneBench. It's working great with OctaneBench® 4.00c !!

Re: OctaneRender RTX | Vulkan - preview release is out!

... 2080Ti, so it would be nice to finally unlock its RTX functionality in some meaningful manner - by which i mean not just some preview build or benchmark, but something useful for production (even if in release candidate form). If its already happening, my apology.

Octane Bench SLOW

My octane benchmark v4 run seems to be quit slow : 145

RTX 2070 8Gb
MSI MEG X399 Creation mobo
64 gb ddr4
AMD Threadripper 2950X

Any ideas to speed things up as average is around 200 in the Octane Benchmarks results page.

Many thanks in advance!
