ok, Milanm - I see Your point =) & I agree with it, but I want to give explanation a bit, for You & others..
I write about hardware & educate Guys, not because I "sell" something, but because I had hard time to find information myself (& I know how long it takes).. I see huge gap in terms of hardware information specifically - For Octaner; game benchmarks doesn't matter, nor any synthetic tests..
The other day I've seen a rig on facebook that cost 66 000$ - 8 or 9 Quadro/tesla cards having 12GB of vram. Some Guys after seeing asked some links & went to see if they could order that one! (it's fine for me if You wan't to blow that kind of budget..)BUT!!! SAME PERFORMANCE COUL BE BOUGHT (with 12GB vram cards) for 12-13k AT MOST for 15K$ - THAT SAVES SOMEONE 50k$..
P.S. I created a thread with pool to gather some feedback. Feel free to express Your thoughs & vote for themes & please add Your own input to help shape this possible/probable weekly Podcast.

Octane is quality and speed. And its speed is hardware relevant. And hardware choice is wisdom and passion. And Glimpse is the light on this forum. Period.

Glimpse, dude! Relax!
Before YOU start judging ME judging YOU. Read my post again.
Those questions were not ment for you.
I know damn well about you dude.
And I have no problem with YOU.
I know very well you saw all of that stuff.
If you read the last few lines of my post again maybe you'd understand that i have a problem with OTOY not recognizing peoples work on their website.
NOT YOU!
And i also stated that you helped most of those people that use Octane and that i respect that. Didn't I ?
And 'for the record' i AM FOR the podcast with you on it. Preferably with less watercooling and more Octane render.
I am obviously criticising on you talking a bit too much about the hardware.
Here's all the hardware info any ARTIST need's: You need NVidia GPU (for now) or two of them. Period.
So if you screw up the job and spend two days on revisions. Who is slow than? Your hardware or you?
YES we need good info on hardware. But i think we have WAY TOO MUCH of that info already and very little on how to optimize renders, tips and tricks on lighting and photography and other cool ways to show how to most efficiently use Octane and some of those new parameters. How to optimize geometry or how instances can save you more than those 25% of performance that you would get by spending a month building a wattercooled rig. I use Octane for a while and i'm lurking the forums almost every day and i know how to find stuff, but new users? They don't. All they have is a messy forum. There ARE some good tutorials out there. But some of them don't go much further than the manual.
Formula One is not gonna win a race without a driver.
We need a bit more focus on the CREATIVE WORK and ARTISTRY than hardware is ALL i am saying.
I hope that clears the misunderstanding.

So who needs good artists? You just need good hardware and Octane gives you quality?Octane is quality and speed. And its speed is hardware relevant. And hardware choice is wisdom and passion.

It's getting hot in here.
I got Milanm's points as well as Toms. Agree with you both.

Milanm, Sorry here, I completelly miss-understood You and though of explaining few things here & there
(..& it's my bad, as I came to forums after some intensive workload - just shorten down the post before =)
Anyway, do agree with You, "YES we need good info on hardware. But i think we have think we have WAY TOO MUCH of that info already and very little on how to optimize renders, tips and tricks on lighting and photography and other cool ways to show how to most efficiently use Octane and some of those new parameters. "..& that's why we need something like Podcast.
As mentioned, I already got some cool Guys on the list, some of them already said "yes", some of them "maybe" & some answers are pending =) I'll see how it goes to find some free time & some funds for that, so at least a decent amount of quality would be there!
As they say, "You Can Only Be As Good As Your Taste" - skills matters, hardware matters..but what I'm personally most interested from all of this..is to know How, Why, When, Where studios use this tool we all gathered for in this forums.
