This is rather easy to achieve with the standard render, but I cannot achieve with octane (still new to this amazing product) - As you can see I have a simple vertex map, and I would like to use fields to control it. My goal is to have a material that's normal and another that has an opacity set to '0' that way I can have parts of my geometry that 'disappears.'
There was a post on this forum that helped alot (
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=56648 ) however this effect is being controlled by Xpresso and works with y or x position ( very handy) however I need it to work with vertex map.
I would love if someone could send me a simple file that has the correct node connections to achieve what i'm looking for.
