Hi

i am about to invest in a new gpu primarily because of better Octane performance

So = Should i buy a gtx 1080 and wait (without knowning exactly for how long) until CUDA 8 and octane support - or invest in 2 980ti now ?

I'm also wondering about Vram advantages, Cuda cores etc.

Hi KristofferMoth,
still difficult to answer, anyway now Octane has an experimental Pascal GPU support:

Well that seems to clear the question - although not a fully supported version, at least it must be nearing since it is at "experimental" - so i guess i'll go for the 1080 and the extra vram following it 8-)
