Hi everyone,
Our list of fully integrated plug-ins has been growing steadily over the past year, and today we are proud to announce the OctaneRender for SketchUp plug-in that is being developed by fuzzybro (Vladimir Shumskiy). SketchUp users will soon be able to experience the incredible speed and quality of OctaneRender from inside SketchUp, allowing an instantaneous photoreal preview of the scene while editing cameras, lights, materials and objects in the scene.
As the OctaneRender for SketchUp integrated plug-in is nearing the beta phase and will be released in a few weeks as a beta product, we would like to set up a small group of experienced SketchUp users to help us test the new plugin product before we release it.
To participate in the closed beta, you need a copy of SketchUp and have extensive experience with using the software. You will also need to be prepared to invest a reasonable amount of time into testing the plug-in and reporting issues and bugs to the plug-in developer. Participants will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to becoming part of the beta group.
If you think you have what it takes and would like to participate, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself by showing some of your SketchUp work.
We will pick the participants once we have enough applicants. In return for your help in testing the new product, you will receive a free copy/license of the plug-in, which you can keep when the beta testing period is over.
Cheers,
the OTOY NZ team

As an architect I intensivly use Sketchup since version1...(about ten years no?
...time is going so fast!). I use Sketchup everyday for all my architecural 3D jobs. I get so many project done with it... I can Share some images of those if you are interested.
I already use very often Octane for my recent rendering jobs, but through exporting via "obj" translation.
this plugin will be a "must" for sketchup community. And being part of your beta test team would be a great pleasure
I too get licence for Vray4SU, TheaRender, Modo etc...and

Hi Raytracy
I've been using sketchup more than ever recently for clients on Furnishing mockups.
If you come up short on plugin testers, i'll give it a go.
I've been using Tigs excellent exporter when needed up till now.
Cheers
Jaba

Hi,
I'd be keen to help out. I am an architect and was a beta tester for the Revit plugin and use Sketchup on almost all architectural projects and on all product design projects.

This is one of greatest news on the forum!

I've been using SketchUp for years. I find it the most intuitive, easy to use and powerful 3D modelling software with its tons of plugins. Here is just a small sample of my work in SU.
Can't wait to test Octane for SketchUp.

Hi, Otoy Team!
I've been using Sketchup and Octane Render Standalone for over tree years. Both are very simple and comprehensible packages have made my work much simpler. Besides, I have experience of work with 3ds max and Maya integrations.
I am a 3d specialst in architecture firm and I have my own community in russian social network where I attempt to share info about SketchUp, its features and plugins.
I'm not very good at English, but I can understand technical part.
Here's some of my works. All modeled and renderd using only SketchUp (except for Evermotion trees) and Octane ... and scatter script by TIG and Smicha (Many thanks for that, guys!)

Wow, Thank you Vladmir and OTOY! I have been using Sketchup for almost 4 years. You can see some of my work at http://www.cgarchitect.com/members/view/elijahbell. I would love to be able to use the fastest renderer on the CUDA platform! I would love to see the benchmark on my Quadro 600. Please put me on the beta test list. Thank you for your amazing work with this software! Truly inspiring.
