Again; I tried DL/AO (ao dist = 3)

Lamp and sofa models from 3dsky.org PROFI collection
Picture on wall from DOGOSTORE
carpet patch model from Bertrand Benoit http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/fre ... del/587690
Parquet Floor was made with Floor Generator script.
I tested multiscatter for carpet and towel on sofa (or whatever :) )
Carpet has 20000 instances
Towel has 500000 instances

I put one mesh emitter to window and 128 128 128 gray environment color.

2k image took about 1 hour .
other rush detail images about 3-10 min.

Here is 'before' and 'after' images;

nice images wisemanxxx
Thanks to people like you I'm apreciating a lot the potentials of the AO-mode ;)

It's lot intresting to see how yours RAW images are, I think that in many post people should add the "original" image and the "production" one :D

A little puntualization regards the bottle of wine and the two glass: they look too fake and decrease the overall rendering quality...you should find a solution for that ;)

Keep playing with DL+AO !

Cheers, paolo

Thank you paolo

I agree with you about wine bottle and glass. I don't have enough experiment about octane render materials. Maybe I must try to use glass materials from online material database. I'll post new images.

in fact I wonder what if I make a towel or carpet with multiscatter. It's very fast very vram friendly. I'm satisfied. and now time to make some more experiment with glossy or specular materials.
