I'm working to reproduce your scene for 32 hours. No way :?
I have try different medium ... different lightnings : nothing / even with caustic blur... : think it's a new feature.

Caustic blur doesn't work with sss in current version. It will work in next release.

Some small changes. Now it looks more like 3d light rays.
