The above release would best be described as an "early test version" of the Modo plugin running Octane 2.0. There may be some glitches - since the OSX build was not part of the closed beta phase.

Render Region is not implemented, and my currently estimate is that it will be done in approximately 1 week. Everything else from the Windows version is there.

Can't seem to get edge rounding to work.

Edit: Doesn't seem to work in the Standalone either. Maybe it's a dud from the source.

I'm loading that heavy scene I sent you before, and now half of the items which are visible in the scene do not show up in the render viewport.

Displacement doesn't respect the Invert setting of a grayscale texture.

Hair rendering doesn't respect guide curve smoothing.

That is a limitation with Octane Displacement.

Octane hair strands are not smoothed. You need to create more control points in the Modo hair strand to smooth it.

I will investigate this.

You need to tick Load Cage. Pls see the details in the manual. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Modo/?page_id=977

Bummer. Don't really understand why, but oh well.

Also bummer.

Thank you.

Thank you, didn't recall that. I'm getting rounded edges now, but it's almost unusable. The same mesh item displays different degrees of roundness across different edges, values don't go low enough (.0001 is too big on a 1m mesh), and even on some simple geometry corners are crumpling and look rubbish. I set the vertex normal as per the manual, no change.

The issue with that scene is that it is exceeding the Maximum Vertices in the preferences. So increase that preference setting. There is also an issue in that the plugin is only loading up to 1/3 of the Maximum Vertices setting, which I will fix. If the number is exceeded the plugin should put a message in the Modo Event Log, which it is not, which I will fix.

Can I pls ask you to forward this feedback to Otoy - since they will need to address these issues in Octane (and not the plugin).

Sometimes just clicking on the camera menu icon in the viewport controls causes the render to restart.
