Same for me, I have tried pro exr trial for Photoshop cs5, alway get a black screen, must be something to do ?

It is not, it never was. But 980 is faster than in 2.12.

Small request... could we please not be asked to save an OCS file if we made no changes to it?

Cheers,
Seeker

You won't be asked if you made no changes. As soon as you make a change, the project is flagged as "dirty" (indicated by a star in the window title). Be aware that even just moving a node is a change.

We did a quick test with OpenEXR files exported from OctaneRender into Photoshop (CS3):

  • If you export multiple render passes from Octane into a single EXR file (these are called layered EXRs) and try to open the file in Photoshop it will give you a black image. You need to install the commercial ProEXR plugin to load the multiple layers as photoshop layers.
  • Plain vanilla EXR files from Octane work just fine in Photoshop. You can get these by either exporting the render passes as discrete EXR files or by saving out the image directly from the viewport.

cheers,
Thomas

Ah! Right you are. It's a rather sensitive affair then.

Best,
