Photon Kernel and Volumetric Lights ?

Hi,

i have a simple glass and caustics on the ground.
The daylight or planetary has volume with 0.2 density and scattering attached.

1. Does the photon kernel support seeing the caustics as a volumetrics ? Should i see the focused light in the scattering ?
2. If yes, i added a Environment Volume, but i dont see caustics. Or what is the proper way to do this ?

Many thanks,

aeteron

Hi, I've wrote a section about Volumetric Caustics titled "Volumetric Caustics | 2022.1 XB.1" (CTRL + F to find it quickly). Let me know if anything is ambiguous or missing.

Edit: I don't remember if I did a test with the Daylight Environment. That's the missing part on my page. I will double-check my files as soon as I can. In the meantime, using a volume container will provide enough controls over the scene (including optimization), if needed. Worth giving it a go and it works as demonstrated on my page. The light source would remain as originating from the Daylight Env'.
